Reports & Community Insight
Since 2021, Folkestone Nepalese Community (FNC) has produced a wide range of reports capturing the needs, experiences, and outcomes of Gurkha veterans and wider communities in Kent. Key findings highlight health inequalities, digital and language barriers, and social isolation, particularly among older residents.
Through partnership with NHS, local authorities, and academic organisations, FNC has delivered research-informed programmes including digital inclusion, ESOL, and health and wellbeing initiatives. These reports demonstrate measurable improvements in access to services, community engagement, and health literacy.
FNC’s work now plays an important role in informing service design, supporting policy discussions, and strengthening community-led approaches to reducing inequalities.
