FNC Centre Host World in a Tent – Multicultural Festival Annually in partnership with Equator Festival since 2022.
World in a Tent Multicultural Festival – 09 July 2023 at the Folkestone Nepalese Community Centre.
Artist Line Up:
- 12 -12.30 – Jugnu Bhangra – bhangra dance and drumming
- 12.30 – 1.30 – U’zambezi – south African songs and dances
- 1.30 – 2pm – Nepalese Indigenous Drums & Dancers
- 2pm -2.15 – Ukrainian Choir lead by Lika
- 2.15pm -2.30pm – Roma gypsy dancers
- 2.30pm -2.45pm – Belly dancing and join in session with Lika
- 2.45pm – 3pm – Tai-chi demonstration – Wugong Academy
- 3pm – 3.30 – Chinese music – Elisa Tanching on the guzheng
- 3.30pm- 4pm – Indian classical dances + Gopika + Indian dance ladies
- 4pm-4.30pm – Iranian songs – Saara Majeed and Julia
- 4.30pm – 5.30pm – Orchestra with musicians from Syria, Iran, India and Palestine with dancers – World Orchestra of Kent
- 5.30 – 6pm – Nepalese Folk Band

- 12.30pm – African music – Tsungai Tsikirai and musicians
1.30pm – Nepalese - contemporary dancers from Folkestone
2.30pm – Tai-chi demonstration – Wugong Academy + workshop - 3pm – Ash Mukherjee – Indian dance + piece for Ukraine
- 3.30 – Traditional Odissi dancing from India
4pm – Chinese music and dance – Sinman Dance Company + workshop - 5pm – Damascus Band – Syrian music
- 6pm – Belly dancing/music + workshop
- 6.30pm – Roma music – Romany Diamonds + Roma dance workshop
- 7.30pm – Bollywood dance workshop
- 8pm – Nepalese Contemporary Band
